Term 3 2025: Class Information & Key Dates
Welcome to Term 3 at Freedom2Fly! We’re halfway through the year and gearing up for an exciting term full of learning, exams, and performance preparation. Here's all the info you need:
📅 Term Dates
Start Date: Monday 14th July
End Date: Friday 19th September
Total Weeks:
10 weeks for Monday, Tuesday, and Friday classes
9 weeks for Jazz classes, due to exam scheduling - NO JAZZ CLASSES EXAM WEEK - WEEK 6
No public holidays this term!

This term is a big one for our exam students – please note the following mock and actual exam dates for each discipline:
AJDA Jazz Exams
Mock Exams: Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th August (Week 4)
Actual Exams: Monday 18th & Tuesday 19th August (Week 6)
Acrobatic Arts Exams
Mock Exams: Sunday 31st August (Week 7)
Actual Exams: Sunday 7th September (Week 8)
BBO Ballet Exams
Mock Exams: Saturday 27th September (Term 3 Holidays – Week 1)
Actual Exams: Saturday 4th October (Term 3 Holidays – Week 2)

🎭 Performance Squad
Our performance squad has already begun rehearsals for their next upcoming event. Keep an eye out for performance announcements – exciting things are coming!
👨👩👧 Parent/Guardian Peek Week
📍🩰 August 21st - Ballet classes only 🩰
Jess will be away for Peek Week this term so we have brought the ballet peek week forward to WEEK 6 when she is here!
📍 Monday 15th – Friday 19th September (Final Week of Term - ALL CLASSES EXCEPT BALLET Grade 2 and above)
Come along to celebrate your childs/childrens progress and see the magic in action!
🌟 NEW CLASSES STARTING 28th JULY
Due to many parent and student requests, we are trialling new classes this term:
✨ JFF Jazz (Just For Fun Jazz)
For ages 6+ who want to dance with no exams, just fun! Perfect for those not doing exams but wanting to dance.
✨ Hip Hop
Hip hop is coming to Raglan! For ages 9+, a fun, energetic class to learn foundations, groove, and confidence.
✨ Adults Jazz
A fun, low-pressure class for adults wanting to move, stretch, and dance.

Make sure you have everything needed for exams and showcases – sizing help available in class or by appointment.
💬 Reminders & Recommendations
✅ Exam students should arrive 10–15 minutes early to warm up and be dressed in the correct uniform with tidy hair and appropriate shoes.
✅ Mock exam attendance is essential – this helps students feel confident and calm on the real day.
✅ Keep practising at home, use BandApp resources, and don’t hesitate to ask questions in class or post them in the app.
